SUMMER POSITIONS (Available May-Sept)

GROUNDS & GARDEN WORKER – Full-time position available May 6th - Sept.27th 

Job Description:  Grounds & Gardens Workers help maintain Cedar Springs’ beautiful grounds, gardens, and trails.  This would include work such as weeding, mowing, trimming, trail maintenance, and any other tasks needed to keep the property looking good for guests.

Qualifications:   

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Comfortable with learning to operate power equipment such as Lawn mower, blower, weed-wacker, and chainsaw.

  • Able to work productively individually or as part of a team.

  • Able to perform heavy labor and work outdoors in all kinds of weather

Hours and Pay:  M-F  7:30am – 4:00pm  $16.50 - $17.50 an hour bases on experience and availability.

KITCHEN SERVER - Part-Time / 10-25 hours a week

Job description:  Servers help set up for meals, bring out food and serve the people at their tables, and help with clean-up after the meal. Extra hours may be available cleaning our motel like rooms after guests leave (Mon-Tues).

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years or older.

  • Looking for people who desire to serve in a Christian Ministry, support our statement of faith, and can operate well in a “team” environment.

  • Must be able to carry food dishes to and from tables. Must be able to walk, twist, bend, push/pull and kneel while cleaning.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Provide excellent friendly service to our guests.

  • Flexibility in hours and days available to work required.

  • Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment.

Hours and Pay: Shifts will vary by day and time, but most shifts are on the weekends. Pay starts at $16.28-$17.50 per hour based on experience and availability.

OTHER YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS:

HOUSEKEEPER - Part Time / 8-16 hours a week. 

Job description:  This position will serve as with our housekeeping team cleaning our lodges after weekend guests.   Extra hours can be picked up serving guest group tables in our kitchen (Thurs.-Sun.)

Qualifications: Looking for people who desire to serve in a Christian Ministry, support our mission and statement of faith, and can operate well in a “team” environment.

  • Must be 16 years or older.

  • Must be able to walk, twist, bend, push/pull and kneel while cleaning.

  • Strong attention to detail required.

  • Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment.

  • Must be able to work on your feet for a full day and use cleaning chemicals.

Hours and Pay: Mostly Mon.-Tues. 8am-4pm. Occasional Fridays. Starts at $16.28-$17.50 per hour based on experience.

LEAD SERVER - Part-Time Or Full-Time / 15-40 hours a week*

Job Description:  Looking for a full-time person or a few part-time people to lead our serving team to provide excellent food service for our guests in the spirit of Christian hospitality. 

Duties & Qualifications:

  • Hours are mostly Thurs-Sun with occasional shifts in the middle of the week.

  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills required

  • Able to delegate and lead a team to accomplish tasks efficiently

  • Must be able to carry food dishes to tables. Must be able to walk, twist, bend, push/pull, and kneel while cleaning

  • Flexible schedule.

Pay: Pay starts at $17.50-$19.00 based on experience and availability

*Full-time hours will require cross-training in other departments

ASSISTANT COOK - Part-Time or Full-Time / 10-20 hours a week*

Job Description:  We are looking for a part-time person who is ministry-minded and loves to cook for others.

Duties & Qualifications:

  • Work with head cook to prepare meals for large groups

  • Cook meals for small groups

  • Hours will mostly be Thursday—Sunday and weekday evenings

  • Training available, but previous cooking experience preferred

  • Knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage.

  • Ability to take direction.

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

Hours and Pay: Pay starts at $22-$25 per hour based on experience and availability
